Our Ingredients: Proven by studies (peer-reviewed)
At Lupo's Life, we focus on verifiable quality and effectiveness. Our formulation is based on scientific findings. Here you will find some selected studies that prove our active ingredients and their health benefits. Some examples:
-
Echinacea: In this clinical study, the oral administration of an Echinacea purpurea extract led to a significant stimulation of the immune system in dogs. After 60 days of supplementation, the echinacea dogs showed significantly higher red and white blood cell counts (including lymphocytes and neutrophils) and an increase in IgM levels in the blood. The phagocytosis activity of the immune cells was also increased. These results show that echinacea can strengthen the non-specific immune system in dogs - dogs develop an improved immune response and are therefore better able to fight off infections.Source: Evaluating the effect of oral administration of Echinacea hydroethanolic extract on the immune system in dog - PubMed

Collagen: Osteoarthritis (OA) is the most common joint disorder in humans and dogs. Due to its chronic progressive nature, the predominant clinical signs after a certain point are pain and immobility.

Spirulina: Supplementing diets with Spirulina resulted in significantly increased gut microbiota stability in the test group. In conclusion, diets supplemented with Spirulina significantly enhanced immune response and gut health in dogs.

- Curcuma/Turmeric: A promising solution for pets with osteoarthritis is turmeric, as study after study keep showing. Most recently, one study¹ showed that dogs that are fed turmeric had significantly fewer inflammatory blood cells than dogs treated with painkillers (NSAIDS).

Rosehip/Willow bark/Nettle: In this in vitro study on canine joint cells, rosehip extracts showed strong anti-inflammatory effects. The addition of rose root (Rosa canina) suppressed the NF-κB signaling cascade activated by inflammatory stimuli (IL-1β) and significantly reduced the expression of inflammatory enzymes (COX-2, MMP-9). At the same time, the degradation of cartilage matrix components was slowed down and their regeneration promoted. These results indicate that rose hips can inhibit joint inflammation and protect articular cartilage through their antioxidants and polyphenols.

Milk Thistle: Milk thistle, Silybum marianum, is a medicinal plant grown for its bioactive compounds with well-documented antioxidant and hepatoprotective properties. Milk thistle has a well-established pharmacological reputation for treatments of human liver disease, but it is also used in animals. The overall picture shows that the use of milk thistle results in improved or restored health parameters or better animal performance.
